Uniformed Services

Welcome to the Uniformed Services Section of the AMT website. 

Over the next few months, this site will evolve to be an information resource for the many men and women who serve in our armed forces.  If there is information you would like to see included in this section, please email us and let us know. 

AMT's Uniformed Service Committee meets every year to discuss issues and concerns facing you.  If you have concerns or suggestions for the Uniformed Services Committee to bring to the Board of Directions, please email those to us to the attention of Thomas Wilhelmi, Chair, Uniformed Services Committee.

Army Enlisted Personnel May Earn Promotion Points
for Civilian Certifications 

About Certification

  • 10 promotion point for each awarded technical certification
  • Maximum of 50 promotion points are authorized for technical certification
  • No additional promotion points are authorized for recertification
  • Promotion points wil be awarded under civilian education on the DA Form 3355

Certification Requirements

  • The certification must be on the approved TRADOC matrix listed below
  • The certification must be current as required by the certifying authority
  • The original certification documents must be presented to the promotion work center prior to the awarding of promotion points.
