AMT Forms a Career Education Advisory Committee
In October 2004, AMT formed an Career Education Advisory Committee. The first meeting of the committee was held on February 10, 2005 in New Orleans, LA. This committee was created for the purpose of providing input and recommendations to AMT on trends and developments in health career education, suggesting potential new certification, advising AMT on changes they are making in their programs that might effect AMT's certification examinations, and providing insight into how large school groups operate and what they look for in a certification organization
This one-day meeting was very informative, an idea generator and an excellent resource for AMT. The committee is comprised of both large school groups, as well as, independent schools to provide a mix of perspectives on career education issues.
