Welcome all to the RMSSAMT Web Page
We are a joint society called the Rocky Mountain State Society for American Medical Technologists. Our society serves members in the two great states of Colorado & Wyoming. Those of us lucky to be in this society enjoy the majestic views of the front range of the snow-covered Rocky Mountains.
Just to give you an idea of some of our activities, we hold 2 meetings annually. The first meeting is in the spring, usually around April, which is our business meeting. We issue state awards to members for various accomplishments, hold elections for representative delegates for the National AMT convention, and we have advancements to the latest in HIPAA. These topics earn our members CEU's.
In the Fall we hold our second meeting, usually around September where we hold elections of officers and board members when someone's term is expiring. We also hold one of the Board of Directors meetings just after this general membership meeting; this is to ease the burden of travel for many of our members since our society covers such a large portion of the front range of the Rocky Mountains. Prior to the board meeting we have several guest speakers offering insights in such areas as child psychology or patient education for our patients with menopause. These topics allow our members to earn CEU's.
at each meeting we do find ourselves catching up with each other, and a good time is usually had by all. Lots of food, fun and even some serious talking evolve when you get that many medical professionals in one room.
