National School Liaison Position Established

AMT National School Liaison Position Established 


October, 2002.   AMT is very pleased to announce the appointment of Bobby Stewart, MT as the new National School Liaison for career schools and colleges. In our efforts to expand AMT's outreach to schools that educate, train and provide guidance to future allied health professionals, AMT has created a new Board-appointed position. The goal of the this new position is to provide one-on-one assistance to the schools who currently send AMT applicants and to those schools who are interested in sending applicants to AMT. 

Bobby Stewart has served AMT since 1973 in a variety of ways. Bobby was president of AMT from 1997-1999 and 2001-2002. He served on the Missouri State Society of AMT in many roles including: proctor, Board of Directors, Vice President, co-editor of the Journal and also as President of the state society prior to becoming active on the National level. He has received numerous awards including (national awards): Distinguished Achievement Award, Exceptional Merit, Pillar Award and the highest award for a Medical Technologist, the Order of the Golden Microscope Award. On the state level, Bobby has received: Technologist of the Year, and President's Award. During his tenure as president, he initiated a program of visiting career schools and colleges to discuss the advantages of becoming certified immediately upon graduation, to see how AMT can assist schools and their students and to listen to concerns and issues that are facing schools today.
